Government provides projects at Atebubu

Atebubu (B/A), May 5, GNA- Mr. Cassius Osei-Poku, District Chief Executive for Atebubu has said government last year provided 133 boreholes for 87 communities at Atebubu district at a cost of 7.2 billion cedis.

Mr. Osei-Poku who disclosed this to the press at Atebubu said the government had also rehabilitated some feeder roads in the area including Jato Zongo-Yaw Pruhu-Patrida and Fakwasi-Bompata roads for the carting of farm produce to marketing centres.

He said about 21 school projects and a market at the cost of 13 billon cedis, financed by the central government, district assembly and the German Development Cooperation (GTZ).

Mr Osei Poku added that plans were afoot to construct additional boreholes for five communities and 40 school projects in the district this year. He did not say how much those projects would cost.
