Goldfields For Tunisia On Tuesday

Obuasi (ASH), Aug 18, – A contingent of 18 players and eight officials of Obuasi Goldfields leaves Accra on Tuesday, August 19 for Tunisia to meet Club Africain of Tunisia in their opening match of the African club championship league competition. Goldfields are in group B with Zamalek of Egypt, Ferroviario of Mozambique and Club Africain of Tunisia. Mr Kojo Nunoo, chief executive of Goldfields said at Obuasi on Monday that yesterday’s World Cup match against Sierra Leone was a good exercise for his team which represented the Black Stars. Asked about their chances in Tunisia, Mr Nunoo said “I will not go to battle with the aim to lose. Everybody has equal chances”. Head coach Herbert Addo admitted that his boys played below form but “I am not afraid, the story will be different in Tunisia”. Goldfields will meet Ferroviario on September six in Mozambique and stay home for Zamalek on September 19.
