Ghanaians must focus on children’s education – MCE

Mr Sam Atukwei Ouaye, the Municipal Chief Executive for Amasaman in Ga West, has called on Ghanaians to focus on children’s education and forget about tribal politics.

Mr Ouaye made the call when he addressed heads of department, chiefs, opinion leaders and school children at the 58th Independence Day celebration at Amasaman.

It was on the theme: “Achieving Transformation through National Unity.”

Mr Quaye said without education the economic growth of the country would be a mirage.

“The difficult moment we are experiencing need good people with a united front to fight a common goal but not tribal differences,” he said.

Mr Quaye advised the school children to take their studies seriously to become responsible citizens in future.

“Be respectful, disciplined and hard working. I have no doubt in my mind that if you, young ones, accept these challenges, you will become productive and responsible citizens to whom the current generation of adults will pass the key to development,” he said.

He asked Ghanaians to rally behind the Government to transform the nation.

Mr Quaye challenged the people to exhibit unity, hard work, discipline and a sense of patriotism to encourage the young ones to have hope for the future.
