Ghanaian Referees Selected For WAFU B U17 AFCON Qualifiers In Côte d’Ivoire

Two Ghanaian referees have earned appointments to officiate at the upcoming WAFU B U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire.

Selorm Yao Bless will take charge as a centre referee, while Theophilus Akugree has been named among the assistant referees. They join a select group of eight referees and eight assistant referees chosen by the West African Football Union (WAFU) for the tournament.

Their selection is being seen as recognition of Ghana’s growing reputation in football officiating and offers both officials an opportunity to showcase their skills on the regional stage.

The qualifiers, which will feature some of West Africa’s brightest young talents, are set to kick off in Côte d’Ivoire later this month.
