Ghanaian Faces Deportation

…Convicted Of Selling Pirated DVDs At Flea Market
PROVIDENCE — A New York man convicted of selling pirated DVDs and CDs will be deported to Ghana.

The attorney general’s office said Sadikiba Magassouba pleaded no contest to selling illegally copied music and movies at a Providence flea market.

State police first arrested him in September 2005, then once again in July. During the recent raid, police seized almost 1,900 DVDs and 200 pirated CDs.

Federal immigration authorities detained Magassouba after his convictions. He’s scheduled to be deported to Ghana.
