Ghana Secondary Technical School science student drowns

Takoradi, April 11, GNA – Master Wahab Abudu Tahiru, a final year Science student of the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) got drowned at the 93Last Hour” beach in Takoradi on Saturday. The body according to the Headmaster of the school, Mr T. K. Mensah, was subsequently found on Sunday and had since been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital for inquest from the Sekondi High Court before burial.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency at the school, Mr Mensah said, the boy, one of the brilliant students, wrote the oral English paper and the practical paper for chemistry last Friday. He added that before the body could be found, a search party at New Takoradi, a suburb of Takoradi, demanded GH¢200 from the school authorities.

Mr Mensah, who sympathized with the deceased family from the Greater Accra region, also urged students to always endeavour to abide by school regulations.
