Ghana Embassy in Ottawa relocates….

to a Temporary Office due to fire outbreak
On March 16th 2011 at about 10.30 am officers detected thick smoke coming out of the Embassy office and quickly run outside. They then realized that a section of the building was on fire. In the process of putting out the fire, the emergency services completely pulled down a part of the building which exposed the office particularly the office of the High Commissioner and the visa section to the elements. Also one floor of the office was completely flooded and has to be repaired, luckily our equipments were protected.
On March 18th, 21st. and 23rd. the Staff were allowed under strict supervision by the emergency services to enter the office to collect essential items. Presently the Mission is operating consular services from the High Commissioner’s residence.
With effect from Monday, March 28th 2011 the Mission and the entire staff will be moving to a temporary location at former Malawi Embassy, on 7 Clemow Street, Ottawa.
The temporary telephone number is 613-406-2726. www.ghc-ca.com
