GHACOE WOMEN’S MINISTRY ORGANISES COURSE FOR STUDENTS

The Ghacoe Women’s Ministry has organised a course in batik, screen printing and soap making as well as religious studies in Accra for 10 students from the University of Ghana. The six-day course was sponsored jointly by a Christian Organisation based at the University of Ghana and the UN Development Programme’s Capacity Development and Utilisation Programme with assistance from the National Board for Small-Scale Industries. The aim was to help the participants acquire vocational skills and spiritual upliftment. Closing the course, the National Secretary of the Ghacoe Women’s Ministry, Mrs.. Gladys Asiedu, asked Christian women not to seek only their interest, but also to contribute to the welfare of the deprived in the society. She stressed that they have a major role to play in the development of their communities. The Course Prefect, Miss Cynthia Okine, thanked the organisers of the training and pledged that they will put into practice the knowledge acquired for the benefit of their communities. End
