GES organizes orientation for 110 newly trained teachers

The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Director of Education, Madam Gertrude Mensah, has reminded teachers about the need to uphold professional ethics and show passion for the job.

They should carry themselves with dignity to become good examples not only to the children they teach but the people in their communities.

She was speaking at a day’s orientation workshop held at Ejisu for 110 newly trained teachers posted to the municipality.

Madam Mensah urged them to make effective use of the “school contact hours” to enhance the academic performance of the pupils and should avoid absenteeism and lateness to school.

Mr. Adjen Frimpong, the Municipal Secretary of Ghana National Association of Teachers’ (GNAT), advised them to take advantage of the GNAT Youth Policy to upgrade themselves.
