Ga West MCE donates to zonal councils

Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, the Ga West Municipal Chief Executive has appealed to chiefs in the area to offer more lands for zonal council offices and other essential projects in the area.

He said this would help create job opportunities for the youth.

Mr Quaye made the appeal on Monday when he presented 12 desktop computers to the Amasaman Zonal Council to be distributed to five zonal council offices.

The items were purchased by the Municipal Assembly at the cost of GH?20,000.00 for administrative duties.

The beneficiary councils were Pokuase, Mayera, Ayikai Doblo, Adjen Kotoku and Ofankor.

Mr Quaye said the assembly would continue to assist the councils and urged the officers to organize outreach programmes to educate people on the concept of the zonal councils.

Madam Unipent Oforiwaah Bekoe, the Zonal Administrator of the Amasaman Council, who received the computers on behalf of the other zonal councils, commended the MCE for the donation and assured that the items would be distributed without delay.
