GA central municipal assembly celebrate 1st award ceremony

Hon. Aristo Aryee, Municipal Chief Executive for the GA central Municipal Assembly has reward individual who have contributed immensely to the development of the community since it establishment .

Awardees include Gify kyeremay yeboah, Rect Academy was the over all best student and other student receive award. Over all best workers 2013 was given to Regina Sena Nutornutsi from Finance department of Ga Municipal Assembly and other individual and food vendor.
He said the award was organize within the efforts of outstanding individuals and organizations who excelled in various areas of development process and to look at the way forward for further improvements and development in the coming years.
Hon. Aristo Aryee said this at award ceremony held at sowutuom in Accra, stating that the new created municipal assembly, has achieved a lot in areas such as road construction and maintenance, health service delivery, community development project, and Civil education.
He mention challenges confronting the municipality as revenue mobilization where lack of initial data made projection and target setting very difficult, lack of adequate office space, difficulties with spatial and physical planning, and the control of the property developments and other structures as well as effective co ordition and co operation among the various departments of the assembly.

He mentions that plans are far advance to secure an office space for their zonal council at anyaa and hopeful by the end of February, 2014 the office will be duly opened for operations.

He said they are also constructing two separate six classroom block and an office at anyaa and chantan public schools.

He appeal to staff members and assembly members to dedicate their efforts towards the development of Ga Municipal Assembly and Ghana as a whole.
