Funeral of Ga Mantse postponed

Accra, Nov. 24, GNA – The Ga Traditional Council announced on Thursday that the funeral of Nii Amugi II, Ga Mantse, originally scheduled to take place on November 26 has been postponed. A statement issued by the Ga Traditional Council in Accra said a new date would be announced in due course.

Nii Adote Obuor II, Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council, Squadron Leader (Rtd) George Tagoe, Ga Dsase and Nii Aponsah Tannor, a representative of the Amugi We, signed the statement.

The statement said the decision to postpone the funeral was the outcome of discussions held by the Ga Traditional Council, Ga Dsase and Amugi We family to unite and mobilise all Ga Dangme citizens, resident and in the Diaspora, for a befitting funeral for the late Ga Mantse. “The Ga Traditional Council, Ga Dsase and Amugi We family apologise to the Government, the National House of Chiefs, all traditional leaders and local and foreign dignitaries for any inconvenience caused.” 24 Nov. 05
