Freight Forwarders donate cement to Tema Police

Tema, Feb. 12, GNA- The Tema Regional Police Command on Wednesday received 100 bags of cement worth 4.2 million cedis from the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwards (GIFF) in support of the construction of Police Barracks in Tema.

The Police Command has since December 2003, received 41 million cedis and various building materials from organisations operating in Tema towards the project.

Mr David Nutakor, second vice President of the GIFF who made the presentation said there was the need for an industrial city like Tema to have a strong Police security network.

He said if the Police are well motivated they could do their job effectively and efficiently.

The Regional Police Commander, Mrs Agnes Sikanartey, thanked the Institute for the gesture and hoped other benevolent organisations would emulate the.

She commended all the organisations, which have contributed towards the project and hoped those who have promised them would also honour their pledges.
