About 21 Assembly Members and unit committee members of the Kintampo Township have organised a Forum to discuss ways of solving the sanitation problem of the town. The District Chief Executive, Mr.. A. B. Amoah who addressed the forum, advised the people to organise regular communal labour and clear weeds and desilt gutters to help improve sanitation in the town. He said the people should not rpt not look up to the District Assembly alone for refuse disposal but ensure that they carry refuse from their homes to refuse dumps. He was not happy about the indiscriminate dumping of refuse and urged the officials of the enviornmental health division to find a lasting solution to the problem. He urged assembly members to form environmental sanitation task forces in their areas to improve sanitation.
