Forum on Research, Science and Technology commiserates with family of late President Mills

The National Forum on Research Science and Technology has expressed with deepest regret, the passing away to glory of late Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the President of the Republic of Ghana.

A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday and signed by Emeritus Professor George Benneh, Chairman of the Forum, said “We wish to further express the condolences of the entire Council to you, Your Excellency, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, and to the widow and the family of the late President.”

“We wish Him eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord,” it added.

The Forum also congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for his assumption to the highest office of the land.

The statement recalled a meeting of the Governing Council of the Forum with the late President, where he (former President) promised to support the objectives of the Forum and the development of science and technology in general.

The Forum concluded its statement wishing President Mahama a very successful tenure.**
