The suspected criminals, Kwame Amponsah, 25; Stephen Emu, 24; and Kennedy Afum, 27, were arrested at Akyem Oda Old Town with 68 wrappers of a whitish substance suspected to be cocaine and 43 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

Chief Superintendent James Sarfo-Peprah, Akyem Oda Divisional Police Commander, disclosed this in a telephone conversation with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Koforidua.

He said the culprits were arrested during a swoop within the Oda District to clamp down on illegal activities in the area and also combat crime.

According to Chief Superintendent Sarfo-Peprah, the exercise would be sustained to free the area of criminals.

He appealed to the public to provide the Police with information on the hide-outs of suspected criminals.
