Finatrade donates to two organisations

Finatrade Group of Companies has donated food items to two organisations in Accra, for the upkeep of children and prisoners during the yuletide.

The organisations – the Prisons Ministry and Sunny FM in Accra- received bags of rice, gallons of oil, and cartons of canned tomatoes totalling Ghc5, 500.00.

Presenting the items to the organisations at separate ceremonies, Mr John Awuni, Corporate Affairs Director of Finatrade Group of Companies, said while Sunny FM would fete underprivileged children with the food, the Prisons Ministry would share the items to selected inmates in the capital.

He said Finatrade had over the years donated to several organisations and would continue to keep faith with that gesture in coming years.

Mr Awuni appealed to the Government to reduce the necessary taxes that would favour businesses, in the coming years, to create more jobs for the youth.

He urged the beneficiary organisations to channel the items to the right beneficiaries in the Metropolis.

Madam Harriet Amponsah, who received the items on behalf of Sunny FM, gave the assurance that the items would be given out for the purpose for which they were donated.

She thanked Finatrade for their continuous support and appealed to other companies to support them in the same direction.
