Fearless Echoes, representing Ghana Prisons Headquarters, have won the 5 Star Energy Jama Masters 2026 reality show.
The grand final was held on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at La Kpaan Sɛɛ in Labadi, Accra, in front of a full crowd of cultural music supporters.
Seventeen traditional jama groups entered the national competition, which was broadcast on TV3, but only seven reached the final event. The finalists were MTCE Morale, The Generals, The DONS, Kpetekple Jama, Holy Family Morale, Fearless Echoes Morale and Adom Drumming Group.
Following two rounds of performances, Fearless Echoes finished top, with MTCE Morale taking second place and The Generals ending the competition in third.
The finale was hosted by Lord Asoreba Thunderh, known as the Jama Lord. His energetic presentation helped drive the atmosphere as the groups competed before the packed venue.
Fearless Echoes secured the title with a performance built around tightly coordinated military-style movement, powerful drumming and strong vocal arrangements. Their presentation dominated the final arena and earned them the overall prize.
MTCE Morale, who were regarded as the crowd favourites, finished runners-up after combining traditional street chants with modern highlife rhythms in a melodic and emotional performance.
The Generals claimed third place with a fast-paced set featuring intense percussion, rapid formations and the high-energy style associated with “morale” performances.
La Kpaan Sɛɛ was filled by student groups and community morale crews, who waved flags, clapped together and cheered throughout the event. A representative of title sponsor 5 Star Energy Drink praised all seventeen participating groups for their work to preserve and promote Ghanaian street music culture.
Fearless Echoes received GH¢15,000, a complete set of jama instruments, an official plaque and sponsor products for winning the competition.
MTCE Morale were awarded GH¢10,000 and sponsor products, while The Generals received GH¢5,000 and sponsor products.
The competition was organised by Brein Consult, which thanked the participating groups, 5 Star Energy Drink, Perla Mineral Water and TV3 for their sponsorship and partnership.
The organisers also said they would continue working to promote and preserve jama music and the culture surrounding it.
