A 27-year-old man, Kofi Entsey, has been arrested by the Akim Oda Police for allegedly defiling his 9-year-old daughter.
The suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with his daughter on two separate times in the absence of his Wife.
The incident occurred at Akyem Apresoa near Akim Oda in the Eastern region.
According to Starr News sources, a relative of the victim noticed unusual signs in the young girl and approached her. After several hours of questioning, she narrated her ordeal in the hands of the father.
The victim alleged that her father forcibly had sex with her on January 1st and 2nd this year.
When the complainant angrily accosted the suspect with the allegation levelled against him, the suspect admitted the offence but pleaded for pardon.
The complainant later reported the matter to the Police after which the suspect was arrested for interrogation.
The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern regional Police Command, ASP Yaw Nketia-Yeboah who confirmed the incident to Starr News said the suspect is being processed for court while the victim is undergoing treatment.
