Exopa boss likely to be buried Monday

The family of the deceased Exopa boss, Sima Ibrahim will be able to have access to his remains by Monday.

The family, on Friday, failed to secure the necessary documentation that will facilitate the release of Sima’s body for burial in line with Islamic customs.

STARR NEWS sources within the family say the Farmers Day celebration also delayed the release of the documents.

Public Relations Officer of the Police Hospital, Juliana Obeng, told Starr News on Saturday that the necessary arrangements are being made for the release of the body.

“There are certain protocols that need to be observed. As we speak, the documentation and other procedures are ongoing to ensure that the body is given to the family”.

She added: “…In due course, in conjunction with the right authorities the body will be released to the family”.

Ibrahim Sima died on Thursday night at the Police Hospital, where he was rushed to after suffering injuries in a football game.

Prior to his death, Sima had complained of a headache.

The Exopa Chief Executive Officer was sentenced to 15 years in jail by an Accra Fast Track High Court in September 2011 for possessing and attempting to export 4.9 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed in four tubers of yam.
