Ejisu-Juaben Kotokoli community gets new head

Ejisu (Ash), March 1, GNA – The Kotokoli Community in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality has elected Mallam Adama Jibril, a businessman, as its new head at a ceremony at Ejisu. Malam Jibril, 56, succeeded Alhaji Adam Yahaya who died last month. Baba Abubakar Sergeant, Head of the Kotokoli Community in Ashanti, performing the ceremony, said cultural interaction was important for the promotion of peace.

He called for mutual respect, cooperation and understanding among people from different ethnic backgrounds. Mallam Jibril promised to bring all Kotokolis in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality together and to seek their welfare. He also spoke of plans to set up a special fund to support the development of the area.
