East Ayawaso MP donates towards Ramadan

Alhaji Mahama Toure Naser, National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament (MP) for East Ayawaso at the weekend donated items to chiefs, imams, opinion leaders and constituency executives of the party towards the Ramadan.

The items include 120 bags of sugar, 50 cartons of ideal milk, 50 boxes of Lipton Tea and 30 cartons of Milo worth GH? 32,000.00.

The donation was presented by, Mr Osumanu Guarantee, Personal Assistant to the MP through the East Ayawaso constituency executive of the party and was received by the executives led by Alhaji Williams Olabodi, Chairman of the Constituency.

Mr Guarantee said the gesture was to demonstrate the MPs love for the Muslim Community in line with the annual observation of Ramadan, which is considered as the holiest month and one of the five pillars of Islam.

He commended Muslims for peacefully co-existing with other religious organisations.

Mr Guarantee noted that the high sense of maturity exhibited by Muslims had contributed to the promotion of democracy and good governance in the country.

He appealed to the Imams to continue to offer sacrifices and prayers for peace and stability in the country.

Alhaji Olabodi thanked the MP for the kind gesture.

He said the MO has donated an Ambulance to the Nima Government Hospital, has renovated the Nima market which has being abandoned for the past 40 years by successive governments and has constructed a drain in the community.

“He has donated bags of cement to the affected victims of the recent floods and more than 1,800 mathematical sets for students writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the constituency.
