Accra, Feb. 4, GNA – A 24-year-old drivers’ mate who gave pills to a 15 year old girl to have sex with her on Friday appeared at a Circuit Court charged with defilement.
Nii Boye, whose plea was not taken, was remanded into prison custody to reappear on February 18.
The case as presented by Chief Inspector Emmanuel Boison was that the complainants were the parents of the victim, who resided at Teshie, Accra.
The Prosecution said on January 26, this year, the victim’s parents travelled to Nkawkaw for a funeral and on that same day, ‘T T’ a cousin of the victim asked her to accompany him to a nearby shop but on their way, they met Boye, who asked TT to leave the victim in his custody. Boye took the victim into his room, locked her up and forced her to take some pills. The victim felt drowsy and Boye interminably had sex with her until the following day.
Prosecution said Boye left and abandoned the victim in his room but soon after she regained her consciousness at about 08:00 hours, she left to her house.
When a Cotenant, who had not seen the victim the previous day, questioned her about her whereabouts she narrated her ordeal and Boye was arrested.
