The Driver of the Vehicle that caused the accident that claimed four of the President’s bodyguards on the Accra-Tema Mottorway, Daniel Dawuttey Chakitey is dead.
The deceased who was on trail charged with manslaughter and negligently causing harm, after causing the presidential accident, which resulted tin the death of four bodyguards attached to the President detail, died at the Police Hospital.
His mate, Samuel Cudjoe was charged with abetment. Mr Chakitey was taken from custody to the Police Hospital as he was on remand. It is not exactly clear what led to his death.
