Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo for the 2016 Presidential Elections, yesterday, September 12, 2015 departed for Mecca to perform the Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj.
Dr. Bawumia is accompanied by his wife, Samira Bawumia, as the couple joins thousands of Ghanaians and millions of Muslims around the world in performing this year’s Hajj.
The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and fulfills one of the conditions for total submission to the will of Allah.
While on the Pilgrimage, Dr. Bawumia will use the spiritual exercise to among others pray for the people and nation of Ghana and to request Allah’s blessings for Ghana.
