Business activities in some parts of Accra were disrupted on Tuesday by a downpour.
Mr. Adjei Annang, a commercial bus (trotro) driver told Ghana News Agency (GNA), in an interview that due to the rain passengers are not patronising their services.
“However, our car owners as usual will be demanding their daily sales from us,” he said.
Ms Mary Yeboah, who trade in clothes at Tema Station Market, said: “I am just opening my shop because, I got stuck at home because of the rain.
Ms Sarah Adjetey, a rice seller told the GNA that she arrived at the market on time to do business, but could not open her shop because of the rain.
She said the downpour is likely to affect her sales for the day.
Stella Agoe, who hawks food stuff, said that she cannot walk freely around the market because of the mess the rain has caused.
The rain also distracted traders and customers at Accra Tudu market.
The insanitary conditions caused by the rain compelled the traders to clean up mud and debris from and choked gutters.
Ama Yeboah, a tomato seller, told GNA that the poor sanitation problem at the market is affecting her sales.
Mary Anane a second hand cloth seller said she struggled to clean her surroundings before she could do business.
