Disregard prophecy about Mahama – Pastor Wengham

Head Pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengham has called on Ghanaians to disregard the prophecy of Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, indicating that it is not coming from God.

According to him, the Bible, which dictates the manner in which Christians are to live their lives, says in Corinthians 14: 3 that a prophecy must come to edify, council and exhort; hence the criteria we must judge every prophecy.

“If a prophecy comes to create panic and fear, per the scripture it can’t be God’s. This same man of God gave some prophecies in the past about the elections and other things but it didn’t happen,” Pastor Wengham noted.

He cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of the lifestyle and character of persons who claim to be prophets and advising that it was necessary for prophecies not to be assessed at the face value.

Dr. Wengham was speaking on Eyewitness News about the prophecy by Reverend Owusu-Bempah where he indicated that President John Mahama was going to die in 2013 if the God’s favour was not sought.
