December elections will be the smoothest – Mahama

The Director of Communications of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Hon. John Mahama has rubbished a notion from a section of the Ghanaian media that December?s Presidential and Parliamentary elections has the potential of destabilizing the country.

Speaking in a telephone interview on Myspace Fm in Sunyani, this morning, the affable former Minister of Communications in the NDC government, was confident that the December polls would be the smoothest the country has ever witnessed. According to Hon. Mahama, the leadership of the leading political parties in the country remain very committed to ensuring incident-free polls.

Ghana is a great country and I believe we all love our country. ?This is only country we have, and we?re proud of that?, he said, emphasizing his commitment to an incident-free December elections.

He also confirmed that the flag bearer of the NDC, Professor J.E A. Mills will, from Friday pay six-days working visit to the Brong Ahafo Region and therefore, urged all NDC supporters to be part of the occasion.
