DCE appeals to chiefs to release lands for projects

Mr. Francis Korankye Sakyi, the District Chief Executive of Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Assembly, has appealed to chiefs and land owners in his District to release lands for developmental projects.

Mr. Sakyi who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), also asked for supporters of the opposition parties not to use partisan interests to impede developmental projects, earmarked for the District.

He expressed worry that each time the Assembly decided to undertake a project, it was threatened with a court suit and urged the citizenry to shed their political colours and pool their resources for the development of the District.

He also expressed worry over the district’s inability to elect a presiding member since the District was inaugurated, blaming it on political fanaticism.

Mr. Sakyi, however, commended the chiefs and people who had contributed in diverse ways for the smooth running of the District and advised the youth to refrain from indulging in anti -social activities but to use their leisure hours profitably to upgrade themselves.
