Daily press briefings at the presidency back

The daily press briefings held at the presidency is returning after it took a relatively short break.

“We are back on a regular basis,” said Ben Dostei Malor, the Head of Communications at the Presidency on Friday, May 2.

He told the Presidential Press Corps that in addition to the meetings, ministers and their deputies will be brought “to answer questions based on regular events and based on substance.”

He, therefore, asked members of the Corps to be accurate, balanced and fair in their reportage.

The briefings began on May 16, 2013 as part of government’s commitment to providing transparent and accountable governance.

It took a break following the appointment of Mr Malor early this year.
