Court remands murder suspect into prison custody

The Nsawam Magistrate Court has remanded Prince Odoi, 27, unemployed, to reappear in Court on December 17 for allegedly murdering Rosemary Laryea, his girlfriend.

His plea was not taken.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Alex Cosmos told the Court presided over by Madam Ellen Lordina Dodoo that the accused person resides at Abata, a suburb of Nsawam.

Inspector Cosmos said the deceased, 25, was a resident of Yawkorkor, near Nsawam and in September, she visited her boy-friend (the accused).

A week later the family of the accused person informed the father of the deceased of her death and he (father) in turn reported the matter to the Police.

The accused was arrested and investigation is still ongoing.
