Court fines driver

Twifo Praso, Apr. 21, GNA – Abu Aziz, a Cape Coast driver, who pleaded guilty to charging excessive fare was on Wednesday sentenced to a fine of 500,000 cedis by Twifo District magistrate court. In default, Aziz will go to prison for two months.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector George Okine, told the court presided over by Mr Joseph Blay, that on April 6, police on patrol duties arrested the accused for charging 3,000 cedis instead of 2,500 from Praso to Heman.
