Clients rush for their money at Bogoso

Bogoso (W/R), June 5, GNA – The Manager of the Bogoso Branch of Central Financial Consult, a micro finance company, Mr Isaac Kwasi Boadu, has denied allegations that his outfit had squandered clients’ deposits. He told the GNA in an interview that the police did not arrest him but rather the police invited him. Clients of the company thronged the offices of the company to withdraw their deposits but were denied from doing so. Their action follows reports that Foundation Trust Investment Limited, another micro finance company established in the town about a year ago, had disappeared with clients’ deposits. Mr. Boadu said his outfit had no intention of duping its clients. Inspector Solomon Acquah of the Bogoso Police confirmed the story and said they did not arrest the Manager but rather invited him for questioning on the issue.

He said following a report that the workers were locked up by the customers both the Manager and the customers were invited to give their explanations.

Inspector Acquah said the Manager had given the assurance that the customers would be given their money as soon as it was transferred from the company’s Head Office and appealed to the customers to exercise restraint.
