Churches urged to distance themselves from politics

Nsawam, Jan. 30, GNA – Prophet Peter Abednego Dartey Liberty, in-charge of Kingdom of God Ministry at Otoase near Nsawam has called on church leaders to shun active politics and rather imbibe in their members the virtues of Christianity. He said Christians need to show love, dignity and be truthful to each other in their dealings to let the blessings of God shine upon them and the nation as a whole for the development of the country.

Prophet Liberty made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after a two-week fasting and prayers by the members of the Church at Otoase, near Nsawam. He said prophets, pastors and government officials must dedicate themselves to the task of contributing meaningfully for the progress of the country in whatever position they are placed for the youth to emulate. He said the Holy Bible is the key to heaven and urged church leaders to avoid using other means of worship.

The Prophet advised the youth, especially the females to be well dressed to avoid the evil spirit which at the end, would destroy their lives and future. Prophet Liberty congratulated President John Evans Atta Mills and his ministers and appealed that they diligently and humbly seek God’s wisdom first in all that they may do to steer the nation to greater socio-economic heights.
