Children of late Madam Bemmah donate doors to Church

Domeabra (Ash), Jan. 7, GNA – The children of the late Madam Agnes Bemmah, a staunch member of the Domeabra Trinity Presbyterian Church in the Asante-Akim North District have donated a set of decorative glass doors valued at 10 million cedis to the Church.

The donation formed part of the first anniversary celebration of the death of Madam Bemmah.

Presenting the set of glass doors on behalf of his siblings and family, Dr Samuel Duh said their mother who was a staunch member of the Church had a keen interest in the new Church building under construction.

This, he said, motivated the children and family of Madam Bemmah to buy the set of decorative glass doors for the Church in her memory. The Reverend B. Osafo-Kantanka, District Minister, who received the donation on behalf of the Church, expressed gratitude to children and family of Madam Bemmah for the gift.

He urged other individuals and corporate bodies to emulate the gesture of Madam Bemmah’s children.

Rev Sarfo-Kantanka commended Dr Samuel Duh and his wife Gladys and Herman Duh residents of Dayton Beach, Florida in the United States of America who came to the country to celebrate the first anniversary of the death of their mother for making her wish a reality.

He said Dr Duh and Herman Duh had made earlier donations totalling about 23 million cedis towards the construction of the one billion-cedi chapel complex with the support of friends and philanthropists of the Highlands Presbyterian Church in Dayton where they fellowship and two million cedis from Mrs Sallie Shelton Culver of Dayton Beach.
