Chief releases land to assembly for development projects

Nana Kwasi Appeadu, Chief of Kwaasi, near Busunya, and his elders have released 75 acres of land to the Nkoranza North District Assembly to undertake development projects.

Mr. Kwadwo Agyei-Dwomor, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive, who announced this during an inspection tour of development projects, said the management is taking the necessary steps to prepare a lease agreement on the land for the assembly to prevent any land disputes in the future.

He said the GETFUND is financing the construction of two-storey buildings for the Busunya Senior High School to serve as a classroom block and a girls’ dormitory.

Other projects are the assembly’s office complex, a bungalow for the District Director of Food and Agriculture and a storey building to serve as offices as well as a conference hall for the District Directorate of Education, being financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)at Busunya.
