Chief commend government for reducing prices of fuel

Adagya (Ash), Aug 03, GNA – Nana Kwadwo Acheampong, chief of Adagya in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District, has commended the government for reducing the price of fuel when Ghanaians complained about its high cost. He said although the world market price of fuel kept rising, the government’s decision to take off the ad valorem tax was a manifestation of its effort at alleviating the plight of Ghanaians.

Nana Acheampong said this when Mr Yaw Barima, an aspiring assembly member for Feyiase/Esreso electoral area, paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and people of Adagya to seek their support. The chief pledged his support for the aspirant and urged all contestants to undertake their campaigns devoid of personality attacks and insults that could mar the beauty of “our young democracy”.
