Chairman Wontumi threatens Afari-Gyan

The Electoral Commission Chairman Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan has lodged a complaint with the Ashanti regional Police command following an alleged threat on his life by the regional chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, StarrFMonline.com has gathered.

The incident according to our sources, happened at the Ashanti regional headquarters of the EC where Dr Afari- Gyan is currently partaking in an exercise to select electoral officers for the upcoming district assembly elections.

A source close to the NPP regional chairman told Starr News’ Ashanti regional correspondent Isaac Bediako Justice that his boss is angry over the EC’s refusal to respond to his concerns over the just ended Voter registration exercise even though he has long written to them over the matter.

He admits Wontumi accosted the EC boss, but rejects claims he threatened his life.
