The breaches, according to BoG, involved unauthorised remittance activities conducted with three Payment Service Providers (PSPs)—Halges Financial Technologies Limited, Cellulant Limited, and Flutterwave Inc.—through their settlement bank, UBA Ghana.
The regulator noted that the suspended operators can only resume services once their partner PSPs or banks reapply for approval and such applications are reviewed at the end of the suspension period.
BoG further cautioned all participants in the foreign exchange market to comply strictly with existing regulations and guidelines.
