Bicycles For Functional Literacy Staff

The Ministry of Education has provided eight bicycles for distribution to hardworking facilitators of the Non Formal Education Division in the Sefwi Wiawso District. Presenting the items at a ceremony at Sefwi Wiawso, the District Chief Executive, Mr.. Evans Paul Aidoo, said the gifts are to serve as morale booster to the facilitators. He said the interest shown by the Ministry of Education in the Literacy Education Programme should be reciprocated with dedication and commitment of both learners and facilitators to ensure the success of the programme. The supply of the items, the District Chief Executive said, underlines the government’s concern for people who could not benefit from formal education and therefore need to be assisted to learn to read and write and also be provided with vocational skills. Mr.. Aidoo advised facilitators who had benefited from the incentive package to take good care of them and also to use them for the purpose for which they have been supplied. the District Organiser of the Non-Formal Education Division, Mr.. Aaron Nkrumah, congratulated the facilitators on their efforts at making the functional Literacy programme successful. He also thanked the Ministry of Education for the incentives to encourage the facilitators to give off their best.
