Be law abiding – Mahama to Ghanaians in South Africa

Former President John Dramani Mahama has asked Ghanaians living in South Africa to be law-abiding and work hard to support the growth of that country’s economy.

Mr Mahama gave the advice when he spoke on Power 98.7 FM in South Africa on Thursday, 23 February.

The former president is in South Africa to receive an award as the African Political Leader of the Year.

According to organisers of the award – the African Leadership Magazine – the award is meant to celebrate exemplary leadership and individuals who have contributed to shaping the global perception of the African continent.

For deepening and enriching Ghana’s democracy, Mr Mahama will be presented with the award after he delivers the keynote address on the theme: “How can Africa win the progress race?”
