Armed men attack bus in Brong Ahafo; one killed

One person has been killed after a bus from Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region to Tamale in the Northern region was attacked by unidentified gunmen.

The Ssanyong Istana mini bus with registration number GC 1583-12 bound for Tamale had 15 passengers on board when the armed men opened fire on the bus at Babatokuma on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.

Five other people who sustained injuries were sent to the Techiman Hospital for treatment.

According to an eyewitness, the incident happened around 6 pm on Sunday. The robbers reportedly made away with several valuables and money belonging to the passengers.
