Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has signed a new five-year contract with AFC Bournemouth, a move that cements his role in what the club’s hierarchy is calling a “record-breaking project.”
The 25-year-old forward, who joined from Bristol City in 2023, played a key role in the Cherries’ best-ever Premier League campaign, scoring 11 goals and notching up seven assists in all competitions. Bournemouth finished ninth in the table last season, a historic high for the South Coast club.
Despite reported interest from Premier League giants Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Semenyo chose to remain loyal to Bournemouth, a decision that has drawn praise from the club’s President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto.
“Antoine has been crucial to the club’s progress and is a key member of the project here at Vitality Stadium,” Pinto said. “His commitment to the club matches our ambition, and I’m excited to see what can be achieved as we prepare for the new campaign.”
Pinto described the club’s relationship with the Ghanaian forward as “great,” adding that the new deal reflects Bournemouth’s long-term vision.
Semenyo, for his part, said he was “delighted” to continue his journey at the club. “I’ve grown here, and I feel like there’s a lot more to come. I believe in what we’re building,” he said.
Semenyo’s dynamism, pace, and eye for goal have made him a fan favourite at the Vitality, and with his future now secured, Bournemouth supporters will be hoping the striker can help push the club even higher next season.
