All is set for the commencement of the biometric registration exercise in the Volta Region today, Saturday, March 24.

Mr Dogbe Selormey, Deputy Volta Regional Director of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, (EC) told the Ghana News Agency that all relevant materials in adequate quantities had been dispatched to the districts.

He said there were 2,139 polling stations in the Region which would be grouped into 191 clusters, each with a kit.

Mr Selormey said there were additional kits for densely populated areas to ensure a fluid process.

He said all the kits had been tested and considered to be in good condition.

Mr Selormey said trained technicians and representatives of suppliers of the equipment were on hand to tackle any reported cases of malfunctioning.**
