Alan supporters in NPP after my life – Bugri Naabu

The Northern Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu, has disclosed his life is in danger following his open attack on the leadership of the party and John Alan Kyeremateng, one of the contestants for the NPP flagbearership race.

He said since his outburst about a month ago, which was widely carried out in the media, he has been receiving text messages and phone calls from anonymous people belonging to the NPP threatening to kill him if he continued to attack the party leadership and Alan Kyeremateng.

“They are anticipating they can kill me and have started threatening my life, but I want to sound a word of caution to them that no human being can take my life except my creator,” he said.

He said he has not reported the case to the Police as he takes such threats with a pinch salt.

He has however promised to continue to speak his mind in order to ensure that the party leadership does not rig the upcoming flagbearership election for Alan Kyeremateng, who he considers as incompetent to lead the NPP in the 2016 elections.

The Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu, at the weekend made stunning revelations about the internal wrangling in the party, accusing the National Chairman and the General Secretary of the party, Paul Awentimi Afoko and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong respectively, as the brains behind the party’s woes.

Mr. Abugri Naabu also accused the two party leaders of orchestrating the legal action instituted against the NPP by one David Hoezame, a former constituency chairman of the party in Central Tongu in the Volta Region, asking an Accra High Court to declare the National Council of the party not properly constituted.
