The Twafohene of the Akuapem Traditional area in the Eastern Region, Nana Oteng Korankye II is demanding the immediate arrest of another chief in the area, Akyeamehene Addo Kwaku, for attempted murder.
Nana Oteng Korankye says Nana Addo Kwaku has been terrorising residents of Akuapem for no reason.
Speaking to Citi News, Nana Oteng Korankye said the Inspector-General of Police and the National Security Coordinator must intervene to save lives in the area.
“This gentleman tried to incite people against me. He has organized thugs several times and I have made several reports to the police…the national security have the evidence and warned Nana Addo Kwaku. It has been 24 hours so I think they should arrest him,” he stated.
“Four days ago I travelled and this same Okyeamehene brought thugs from Accra to the town. They went to my palace and broke all my doors,” he added.
