Akufo-Addo’s greatest fear is Addai-Nimoh not Alan – Sir John

Whereas many believe Nana Addo’s main contender in all NPP primaries which he has participated with – Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, will be a peril to him in the up-coming election, the party’s former General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie believes otherwise.

According to Sir John, as he is affectionately called, Nana Addo’s burden as to who will strongly compete him has been shifted from Alan Kyeremanten to the now “wonder man”, Francis Addai Nimo.

He explained that, Addai Nimo who polled 2.97% in the party’s Supper Delegates’ Congress some months back has proven how “dangerous” he can be after describing him as a “new comer” in the flagbearership race.

Speaking on Adom FM, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie opined that, Alan who seems confidence in winning the NPP flagbearership slot is just making mockery of himself since the entire elephant fraternity has already chosen the winning candidate for the party ahead of the election.

To him, Alan’s dream to lead the party will be over after October 18.

Sir John is of a view that, in as much as Nana Addo is very optimistic of winning the flagbearership race, he is very cautious of Francis Addai Nimo, who is capable of pulling a surprise.

“Nana Addo’s greatest fear is Addai Nimo, not Alan Kyerematen,” he said.
