Adaklu-Anyigbe District Assembly confirms Adzaho by 100 per cent vote

Kpetoe, April 27, GNA – Mr Michael Komla Adzaho 49, Headmaster of Ho-Kpodzi Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Junior High School was on Monday confirmed as Adaklu-Anyigbe District Chief Executive. He polled all the 13 votes cast representing 100 per cent. One out of three assembly members from Adaklu Traditional Area, who had boycotted the assembly meetings since their election, rescinded his decision and joined his colleagues to vote. Mr Adzaho commended the assembly members for supporting his nomination and pledged to work with all opinion leaders to develop the district.

He said his priorities include completion of the assembly hall which had been suspended for the past four years. Mr Adzaho pledged to improve sanitation, the road network and provision of potable water in the district and called for support from the assembly and people.

“I will put public interest first and be fair in the distribution of resources to all traditional areas and work hard to intensify revenue mobilization in the district,” he said.

Madam Florence Sedode, Assembly Member for Afegame Electoral Area was elected Presiding Member to replace Mr Francis Kwaku. Present at the meeting was Mrs Juliana Azumah-Mensah, Minister of Tourism and Member of Parliament for the area.
