At exactly 9am this morning, Monday Oct 29, Nana Akufo-Addo, accompanied by his head of Research & Policy Analysis and NPP patron, Victor Newman, Campaign Spokesman Mustapha Hamid, Personal Assistant Yaw Amfo-Kwakye, younger brother Edward Akufo-Addo Jnr and one of the ten regional Foundation Members of the NPP, Amadu “Bizness” Kaleem quietly drove to the NPP headquarters at Asylum Down to file the candidate’s nomination for the party’s national congress on Dec 22. There were no supporters in sight. It was without fanf are. Indeed Nana, after the short five-minute filing nomination, walked quickly to his vehicle and drove off to prepare for his campaign tour, leavingit to Mustapha to say a few words. Mustapha explained that his candidate just preferred a quiet filing process. Nana earlier on told the party’s General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow that he was there to honour the requirement for filing and was driving from there with his campaign team to continue the second round of his national tour. His team leaves for the three northern regions this morning.
