US couple donate equipment to hospital

Dormaa-Ahenkro, April 18, GNA – A United States couple, Dr. and Mrs Mark Kofford, have presented a 10 million-cedi Electrocardiogram to the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital through the Assemblies of God Church at Dormaa-Ahenkro.

The equipment will be used to scan the chest to enable doctors to detect cardiovascular diseases.

The donation followed an appeal to the couple by the Acting General Manager of the hospital, Dr. David Agyapong, when the couple visited the hospital in November 2006 to make presentations worth more than 60 million cedis.

Dr. Agyapong commended the donors and the Assemblies of God Church for their collaboration.
